AABMGS organises and participates in shows across Australia to promote breeds of miniature goats and sheep as well as provide valuable feedback to breeders and exhibitors about the goats and sheep that they own and breed.
AABMGS adopts an “open door” philosophy when it comes to exhibiting Miniature Goats & Sheep at AABMGS hosted Shows.
AABMGS invites anyone with registered Miniature Goats or Sheep to enter. Exhibitors do not have to be a financial member of any Association the only requirement is that the Goat and/or Sheep is registered.
This approach encourages entry and ongoing participation in the Society.
Shows hosted by AABMGS can cater for both herd tested and non herd tested entries by ensuring biosecurity measures are in place.
Note: Persons who have had their membership terminated, have left AABMGS due to conflict of interest, have made defamatory remarks about AABMGS and/or its members, are NOT welcome to attend Shows which are organised by AABMGS Inc.
CLOSED SHOW
A Closed Show is open to enter as detailed above. The term “Closed” means that it is closed to Public attendance.
This allows novice exhibitors to exhibit in a relaxed atmosphere without public scrutiny. Should a potential exhibitor wish to attend to observe a Show, a request may be made to the Show organiser.
OPEN SHOW
An Open Show is open to enter as detailed above. The term “Open” means that it is open to public attendance. These Shows are often held in conjunction with Agricultural Shows across Australia.

A Statewide list of Show Dates and individual Show Schedules are made available on the AABMGS Facebook Page and Website with key details such as venue, date, Judge and closing date for entries included.
Sponsorship opportunities exist whereby a business, stud or individual may sponsor a Show at a cost of $150.00. A sponsorship package includes the Sponsor name on Show Rosettes and the Flower Garland awarded to Supreme in Show. Sponsor name will also be notarised on the Show Schedule and/or Show announcement.
